The Master Program of Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, held back the Clinical Pharmacy Basic Training (Batch 2), which was designed for Pharmacists, mainly those who worked in hospitals and other health care facilities. The training was held for 3 days, June 27-29, 2019, at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. The training with 21 SKP PD IAI DIY was attended by dozens of participants from various cities in Indonesia, from North Sumatra, Kalimantan, Bali, to West Sulawesi, who worked in hospitals, health centers, as well as academic institutions.

from 11-13 April 2019, which received 21 SKP from PD IAI DIY. In the first batch this time, participants came from various backgrounds from various parts of the country. In addition to the hospital pharmacists who were dominant as participants, pharmacists at the health center and academics institution also attended the event.
In the opening ceremony, the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM represented by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Dr. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Sc., Apt., revealed that the Faculty appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and the entire committee involved in this Workshop. Chairperson of the committee, Prof. Dr. Zullies Ikawati, Apt., also said that through this Workshop it was hoped that it could become a venue for sharing the experiences in clinical pharmacy services and sciences.
Faculty of Pharmacy of Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with Senior Experten Service (SES) held a Guest Lecture on Wednesday (02/06). The event with the theme of Research Method in Clinical and Intervention Studies took a place in the Lecture Room IV, Faculty of Pharmacy of UGM. Prof. Dr. Gerhard Fortwengel, a professor in the field of Clinical Research and Epidemiology Medical University of Hanover Germany, was invited to be the speaker for this guest lecture. During this occasion, he conveyed the idea on the importance of a good research method and design study in order to develop scientific values of a health study.
On 30 October 2018, Faculty of Pharmacy of Universitas Gadjah Mada held a guest lecture for all of its master and PhD students by inviting Prof. Dr. Syed Azhar Syed Sulaiman as the invited lecture. The Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt., during his welcoming speech, stated that this general lecture was the implementation of the collaboration between UGM and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to broaden knowledge about clinical pharmacy.
It’s not Prof. Dr. Syed Azhar Syed Sulaiman’s first visit to UGM as previously he was invited to be the external examiner for the master and doctoral program. This event also becomes the concreate form of collaboration between UGM and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
There were about 53 master and doctoral students of Faculty of Pharmacy celebrated their graduation ceremony on 24 October 2018 at Royal Ambarukmo Hotel. Among all those graduates, there were a number of 8 doctoral graduates, and 45 master graduates who were divided into 20 graduates concentrating in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, 3 graduates concentrating in Pharmaceutical Management, and 22 graduates concentrating in Clinical Pharmacy.
Vice Dean for Academics and Student Affairs, Dr. rer.nat. Triana Hertiani, M.Si., Apt., extended her gratitude for all the graduates. She also reminded the graduates to continue working and to remain humble. She expected the knowledge obtained by all graduates would be beneficial for the wider community.
Just two days before her graduation ceremony, Anjar Windarsih was still actively teaching her students to read Al-Quran at TPA Miftahul Falah, Pajangan, Bantul. She has been teaching there since 2008. There were about 40 students there, and the amount usually increases up to 50 students during Ramadhan. Not only did she teach her students to read Al-Quran, she also taught personal hygiene to her students.
She usually teaches every Sunday and Thursday, sometimes it can also be on Tuesday. Unlike any other Thursday, on Thursday 19 July 2018 Anjar couldn’t teach her students as she had to attend her Master degree graduation ceremony. She managed to graduate from Master Program of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology with a GPA of 4.00 with the total study of 1 year 10 months and 13 days, allowing her to get the best graduate title.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, once again, graduated 16 of its students. There were seven students from Master Program of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, four students from the Master Program of Pharmaceutical Management, two students from the Master Program of Clinical Pharmacy, and three others from the Doctoral Program of Pharmaceutical Science-Technology.
During the event which was held at Tara Hotel on 19 July 2019, Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Sc., Apt., as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM revealed his happiness. With the graduation of the sixteen students, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM expressed its pride and advised the graduates to apply the pharmaceutical knowledge for the beneficial purposes.
